CJ Carr Throws a Pretty Ball — Now He Has to Do More With Less

Draft Code — Aug 15, 2026 — AzJace — 3 min

CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame Fighting Irish — 6'2" / 215 — RS Sophomore with 12 college starts.

CJ Carr had an impressive rookie campaign and throws a really pretty ball — watching his tape, there was always a "wow, Jeremiyah Love is so good" moment mixed in.
Good accuracy, especially when he's able to get his feet set or reset his feet to throw from a clean platform.
The ball comes out clean and on time — a very aesthetic thrower of the football.
Not the greatest arm strength, not the greatest athlete, and when he tries to do too much it isn't pretty.
Will have more on his plate this coming season with the departure of the best backfield duo in the country in Jeremiyah Love and Jadrian Price — it'll be interesting to see how he handles it.

Cardinal fans will be very intrigued with the 2027 QB class, and CJ Carr will be a fun name to watch this upcoming season!
