Dante Moore Is a Smooth Operator — But I'm Lower Than Consensus
Dante Moore, QB, Oregon Ducks — 6'3" / 206 — RS Junior with 19 college starts.
Dante Moore would've been the 2nd overall pick if he'd declared, and he'll most likely be in the mix with the other top QBs set to declare in 2027. Moore is a point-guard style of QB, and he's frequently described as a smooth operator in the way he ran the Oregon offense.
- Good on-target percentages at all levels of the field, shown by his consistent ball placement.
- Good at attacking the seams, especially in the red zone.
- Showed good anticipation with his throws and had a fair amount of under-center dropbacks compared to the 2025 class.
- Showed he can scoot to pick up important yardage with his legs and still make accurate throws from any platform.
- Limited physical traits, and the deep ball seemed to lose steam the further it travelled downfield.
- Did not look particularly good when facing pressure and when facing better competition.
I'll be keeping a close eye to see if he can improve under pressure, play better against top competition, and be more aggressive. I am lower on Moore than the consensus, but he's definitely another name to watch this season!
