Arch Manning Should Be Every Cardinals Fan's No. 1 Wish
Arch Manning, QB, Texas Longhorns — 6'4" / 226 — Junior with 15 college starts.
People tend to forget it was Arch Manning's first year as the full-time starting QB. He got better and better as the season went on. Not only is Arch now going into his second year starting with more knowledge of the system, but he's getting better personnel around him, with some great additions like Cam Coleman and Melvin Siani.
- He throws an amazing ball to all levels of the field — the area I personally found he needed to improve most is the short passing / quick game.
- He can make throws with defenders clinging onto him, and there are multiple examples of him doing so on tape.
- Really good pocket presence and a natural feel for the position.
- Good arm strength to drive the ball — not elite, but still good — though where he shines is his ability to layer throws over second-level defenders and put beautiful touch on the football.
- He's shown he can throw with flexible arm angles, throw into tight windows, create his own windows out of structure, and his release is nice and fluid.
- Great athlete at 6'4" 226 — ideal size — Arch can scoot.
The only realistic way for this team to get out of its current situation — the other way would be for Bidwill to sell, but that isn't happening — is to find your franchise guy in the draft and go from there.
I am not going to sell you on Carson Beck, Aaron Rodgers, or any QB currently on the roster, because this is how you stay in purgatory, and these QBs should not be in future plans nor are they very good. That, coupled with either a terrible owner trying to sell tickets or a GM trying to save his job — or both — is a recipe for continued disaster.
What I am going to do is get you informed on the 2027 QB class every step of the way, because this is the way. Arch Manning should be the goal for every Cardinal fan, and he should be at the top of every single Cardinal fan's wish list.
